Friday Prayer Congregation Rahimakumullah,
On this occasion, the preacher instructs himself and the congregation to always do their best to carry out the commands of Allah SWT, and try to stay away from His prohibitions. Both of these are manifestations of taqwa and from only taqwalah we can be safe in happiness in this world and the hereafter.

Friday Prayer Congregation Rahimakumullah,
Farming is a noble profession, because it is from farmers that food supplies are available for human consumption. The glory of the farmer will increase if he is a Muslim. Because he will get abundant rewards and rewards from his agricultural activities. The glory that he gets is not only in this world but also in the hereafter. Rasulullah SAW said as in the hadith narrated by Imam Muslim with Hadith no.1552,

Artinya : “A Muslim does not grow a plant except what he eats from it as a charity for him, and what is stolen from that plant is a charity for him and what is not owned by a person is reduced but becomes a charity for him.” (HR. Imam Muslim Hadits no.1552)

The same thing was conveyed by a friend of Anas bin Malik ra that the Messenger of Allah said,

Artinya : “A Muslim does not plant a tree, nor does he plant a plant and then the result of that plant is eaten by birds, humans or animals, but (the plant) becomes a charity for him.” (HR. Imam Bukhari hadits no.2321)

The two hadiths above tell about the virtues of being a farmer, which does not seem to have much of a role in the process of life, but is actually a determinant of the survival of mankind on this earth. Because, starting from farmers, world food security will continue to be maintained and available.

Friday Prayer Congregation Rahimakumullah,
in arabic Al-fallah ( الفلاّح ) which means "farmer" has a close relationship with al-falah ( الفلاح ) as contained in the call to prayer حي على الفلاح (let's go to victory/luck/prosperity). Lafadz "Falah" In this call to prayer, there are only slight differences because there are no signs saddah ( ّ ) on sound "lam", which means victory, luck and prosperity. Different from fallah which have tasydid, sounds "lam" double, which means "farmer". Although the difference in meaning is quite far, the two words actually come from the same root.

In a Surah Al-Muminun verses 1, say aflaha ( أفلح ) taken from the word al-falh ( الفلح ) which means splitting or turning the ground. From here the farmer was named al-fallah ( الفلاّح ) because he hoe to split or turn the soil and then sow seeds. The seeds planted by farmers are then treated, given irrigation channels and adequate fertilizers to grow the expected yields. From here the point that can explain the relationship al-fallah (petani) it with al-falah (victory, luck, prosperity).

Furthermore, it can also be referred QS. Al-Hajj verse 77 to get additional information. In this surah there is a verse la’allakum tuflihun لعلكم تفلحون (I hope you all win). The sound of this verse contains a sign that the ordered deeds should be done with hope get lucky or al-falah, that is what is expected in this world and in the hereafter.

Sentence la'alla - لعلّ It means "hopefully", which is addressed to the executors of the goodness, gives the impression that it is not the good deeds themselves that actually guarantee the obtaining of hope and luck or heaven, but all of them are actually by the grace of Allah and by His permission alone. Sentence tuflihun ( تفلحون ) above is taken from the root word falaha ( فلح ) which is also used in the sense of farming, cultivating. So, fallah ( فلاّح ) are farmers, splitters, turning the land for farming.

Friday Prayer Rahimakumullah,
The use of the word gives an explanation that a person who does good should not immediately expect to achieve results in a short, instant time. He must feel himself as a farmer who has to work hard to plow the land, plant seeds, control pests and irrigate his crops. May Allah SWT always show us all to the straight path, as the path of those who have been blessed by Him. Amin, Ya Rabbal 'Alamiin.
