Implementation of Honest and Obedient Children, Translating Akhlak Lil Banin Juz 1 Chapter 6

The following is a translation of the book Akhlak lil banin juz 1 by Umar bin Ahmad Baraja which is often taught to the children of the archipelago. Morals are the initial foundation for students to become a character. This post covers Chapters 6 to 7 about Educating the Characteristics of Honest and Obedient Children.

ﺍَﻟْﻮَﻟَﺪُ الْأَﻣِﻴْﻦ

ﻣُﺤَﻤَّﺪٌ ﻭَﻟَﺪٌ ﺃَﻣِﻴْﻦٌ، ﻳَﺨَﺎﻑُ ﷲَ، ﻭَﻳَﻤْـﺘَـﺜِـﻞُ ﺃَﻣْﺮَﻩُ، ﻭَﺫَﺍﺕَ ﻳَﻮْﻡٍ ﻗَﺎﻟَﺖْ لَهُ ﺃُﺧْـﺘُـﻪُ ﺳُﻌَﺎﺩٌ: "ﻳَﺎ ﺃَﺧِﻲْ، ﺇِﻥَّ ﺃَﺑَﺎﻧَﺎ ﻗَﺪْ ﺧَﺮَﺝَ ﻣِﻦَ ﺍﻟْﺒَﻴْﺖِ، ﻓَﻬَﻠُﻢَّ ﺑِﻨَﺎ ﻧَﻔْﺘَﺢُ ﺧِﺰَﺍﻧَﺔَ ﺍﻟﻄَّﻌَﺎﻡِ ﻟِﻨَﺄْﻛُﻞَ ﻣَﺎ ﻓِﻴْﻬَﺎ ﻣِﻦَ ﺍﻟْﻤَﺄْﻛُﻮْلَاﺕِ ﺍﻟﻠَّﺬِﻳْﺬَﺓِ ﻓَﺄَﺑُﻮْﻧَﺎ ﻻَ ﻳَﻨْﻈُﺮُ ﺇِﻟَﻴْﻨَﺎ"

ﻓَﺄَﺟَﺎﺑَﻬَﺎ ﻣُﺤَﻤَّﺪٌ: "ﺣَﻘِﻴْﻘَﺔً ﻳَﺎ ﺃُﺧْﺘِﻲْ، ﺇِﻥَّ ﺃَﺑَﺎﻧَﺎ ﻻَ ﻳَﻨْﻈُﺮُ ﺇِﻟَﻴْﻨَﺎ، ﻭَﻟَﻜِﻦْ ﺍَﻣَّﺎ ﺗَﻌْﻠَﻤِﻴْﻦَ: ﺃَﻥَّ ﷲَ ﻫُﻮَ ﺍﻟَّﺬِﻯْ ﻳَﻨْﻈُﺮُ ﺇِﻟَﻴْﻨَﺎ."

ﻓَﺎﺣْﺬَﺭِﻯ ﻣَﺜْﻞَ ﻫَﺬَﺍ ﺍﻟْﻌَﻤَﻞِ ﺍﻟْﻘَﺒِﻴْﺢِ، ِﻷَﻧَّﻚَ ﻟَﻮْ ﺃَﺧَﺬْتِ ﺷَﻴْﺌًﺎ ﺑِﻐَﻴْﺮِ ﺭِﺿَﺎ ﺃَﻳِﻴْﻚَ، ﻓَﺈِﻥَّ ﷲَ ﻳَﻐْﻀَﺐُ ﻋَﻠَﻴْﻚَ، ﻭَﺳَﻮْﻑَ ﻳُﻌَﺎﻗِﺒُﻚَ

ﻓَﺨَﺎﻓَﺖْ ﺳُﻌَﺎﺩُ، ﻭَﺍﺳْﺘَﺤَﺖْ ﻣِﻦْ ﺳُﻮْﺀِ ﻧِـﻴَّـﺘِـﻬَﺎ، ﻭَﻗَﺎﻟَﺖْ: "ﺻَﺤِﻴْﺢٌ ﻛَﻼَﻣُﻚَ ﻳَﺎ ﺃَﺧِﻲ ﻭَﺃَﺷْﻜُﺮُﻙَ ﻛَﺜِﻴْﺮًﺍ، ﻋَﻠَﻰ ﻫَﺬِﻩِ ﺍﻟﻨَّﺼِﻴْﺤَﺔِ ﺍﻟﻄَّﻴِّﻴَﺔِ"

Honest Boy

Muhammad was an honest boy, he feared Allah, and he obeyed all His commands. One day his older sister, Su'aadah, said:

"O my brother, indeed our father has come out of the house, so let us open the cupboard for us to eat whatever is in it instead of delicious food, because father will not see us"

So Muhammad replied: "That's true, my brother, indeed our father does not see us, but do you know that: verily Allah sees us?"

"So be careful of such a disgraceful act, because if you take something without the pleasure of your father, then surely Allah is angry with you, and He will punish you later."

So he was afraid, and ashamed of the badness of his intentions, and he said:

"Your words are true, my brother, and I am very grateful for this good advice," said Su'adah

ﺍَﻟْﻮَﻟَﺪُ ﺍﻟْﻤُﻄِﻴْﻊُ

ﺣَﺴَﻨٌ ﻮَﻟَﺪٌ ﻣُﻄِﻴْﻊٌ: يُصَلِّى ﻛُﻞَّ ﻳَﻮْﻡٍ، ﺍﻟﺼَّﻠَﻮَﺍﺕِ ﺍﻟْﺨَﻤْﺲَ ﻓِﻲْ ﺃَﻭْﻗَﺎﺗِﻬَﺎ، ﻭَﻳُﻮَﺍﻇِﺐُ عَلَى ﺍﻟْﺤُﻀُﻮْﺭِ ﻓِﻲ ﺍﻟْﻤَﺪْﺭَﺳَﺔِ ﻭَعَلَى ﻗِﺮَﺍﺀَﺓِ ﺍﻟْﻘُﺮﺁﻥِ، ﻭَﻣُﻄَﺎﻟَﻌَﺔِ ﺍﻟﺪُّﺭُﻭْﺱِ ﻓِﻲ ﺍﻟْﺒَﻴْﺖِ، ﻭَﻟِﺬَﻟِﻚَ ﻳُﺤِﺒُّﻪُ ﺃَﺑُﻮْﻩُ ﻭَﺃُﻣُّﻪُ ﻭَﺃَﺳَﺎﺗِﺬَﺗُﻪُ ﻭَجَمِيْعُ ﺍﻟﻨَّﺎﺱِ.

ﻭَﻣِﻦْ ﻋَﺎﺩَﺗِﻪِ ﺍِﺫَﺍ ﺃَﺭَﺍﺩَ ﺍﻟﻨَّﻮْﻡَ: ﺃَﻥْ ﻳَﺬْﻛُﺮَ ﷲ، ﻭَﻳَﺸْﻜُﺮَﻩُ عَلَى ﺃَﻥْ ﺣَﻔِﻈَﻪُ ﻃُﻮْﻝَ ﻳَﻮْﻣِﻪِ، ﻣِﻦَ ﺍﻟْﺒَﻼَﺀِ ﻭَﺍْﻸَﺫَﻯ، ﺛُﻢَّ ﻳَﻘُﻮْﻝُ

"ﺑﺎِﺳْﻤِﻚَ ﺍﻟﻠـﻬُﻢَّ ﺃَﺣْﻴَﺎ ﻭَﺃَﻣُﻮْﺕُ" ﻭَﺇِﺫَﺍ ﻗَﺎﻡَ ﻣِﻦْ ﻧَﻮْﻣِﻪِ، ﻳَﺸْﻜُﺮُ ﷲَ عَلَى ﻧِﻌْﻤَﺔِ ﺍﻟﻨَّﻮْﻡِ، ﻭَﻳَﻘُﻮْﻝُ: "ﺍَﻟْﺤَﻤْﺪُ ﻟﻠـﻪِ ﺍﻟَّﺬِﻱْ ﺃَﺣْﻴَﺎﻧَﺎ ﺑَﻌْﺪَ ﻣَﺎ ﺃَﻣَﺎﺗَﻨَﺎ ﻭَﺇِﻟﻴْﻪِ ﺍﻟﻨُّﺸُﻮْﺭُ"

ﻭَﻣِﻦْ ﻋَﺎﺩَﺗِﻪِ ﺃَﻳْﻀًﺎ ﺇِﺫَﺍ ﺃَﻛَﻞَ: ﺃَﻥْ ﻳَﻘُﻮْﻝَ ﺃَﻭَّلًا: "ﺑِﺴْﻢِ ﷲِ ﺍﻟﺮَّﺣْﻤَﻦِ ﺍﻟﺮَّﺣِﻴْﻢِ" ﻭَﺇِﺫَﺍ ﻓَﺮَﻍَ ﻣِﻨْﻪُ، ﻳَﺸْﻜُﺮُ ﷲِ عَلَى ﻧِﻌْﻤَﺔِ ﺍﻸَﻛْﻞِ، ِﻷﻧَّﻪُ ﻳَﻌْﻠَﻢُ ﺃَﻥَّ ﷲَ ﻫُﻮَ ﺍﻟَّﺬِﻱْ ﺃَﻭْﺟَﺪَ ﻟَﻪُ ﺍﻟﻄَّﻌَﺎﻡَ، ﻭَﻳَﻘُﻮْﻝُ "ﺍَﻟْﺤَﻤْﺪُ ﻟﻠـِﻪ ﺍﻟَّﺬِﻱْ ﺃَﻃْﻌَﻤَﻨِﻲْ ﻫَﺬَﺍ ﺍﻟﻄَّﻌَﺎﻡَ ﻭَﺭَﺯَﻗَﻨِﻴْﻪِ ﻣِﻦْ ﻏَﻴْﺮِ ﺣَﻮْﻝٍ ﻣِﻨِّﻲ ﻭَلاَ ﻗُﻮَّﺓٍ"

ﻣَﺎ ﺃَﺳْﻌَﺪَ ﻫَﺬَﺍ ﺍﻟْﻮَﻟَﺪَ ﺍﻟْﻤُﻄِﻴْﻊَ: يَرْضَى ﻋَﻨْﻪُ ﺭَﺑُّﻪُ، ﻭَﺳَﻮْﻑَ ﻳُﺪْﺧِﻠُﻪُ ﺍﻟْﺠَﻨَّﺔَ.

Obedient Children

Hasan was an obedient child, he prayed every day, prayed five times, and he was always present in the madrasah to read the Qur'an, and repeat his lessons at home, so he was liked by his father and mother, and the teachers -His teacher and all mankind ...

And from his habit when he wants to sleep: and he should remember Allah, and be grateful for His Care all day long from all Disasters and Disasters, then he prays "in the Name of God I live and in His Name I die"

And when he awoke from his sleep, he thanked Allah for the blessings of sleep, and prayed: "Praise be to Allah, Who gave us life after our death, and to Him we return."

And from his habit also when eating: then he says "Bismillah" first, and when he finishes eating, he is grateful for the pleasure of eating, because indeed he knows that it is Allah who gives food to him, and prays "Alhamdulillahi ladzi Ath'amany hadzath tho 'aman wa rozaqonihi min ghoiri haulin minni wa laa quwwah "

How happy is this Obedient child: His Lord will Ridho him and he will later admit him to paradise.
